Last March I introduced an international holiday (yeah, because I can do that!). The holiday is called "International Love Yourself Day!". Why did I make this holiday? All you need to feel good is yourself is you, and everyone should know that. Do you know why this is the best holiday in the world? Because no one expects you to buy them a present! You can tell them to scrooge off and go buy themselves a present (or be a little nicer about it, your choice).
I've got some great ideas of what you can do:
go for a picnic with yourself. So what if it's snowing?
go for a walk and enjoy the sun (part of what I did last year)
take yourself to that movie you've been wanting to see but haven't because you've had no one to go with. Seriously, I did this last year, and it was the best movie I've gone to. I didn't miss anything, because I had no one to talk to, and I got to eat all the popcorn…
eat some feel good food. The better you feel, the better you look, in my opinion.
don't spend anything, and save some of your money for something special later.
go to a yoga class. I'm pretty sure I never feel better than after I've gone to yoga.
don't get out of bed all day, or take a nap in the middle of the afternoon when you should be doing homework or going to work. Take some time for yourself already!
send yourself a present/postcard/letter in the mail.
tell yourself all day how beautiful and amazing you are.
blast some music and dance around in your underwear.
Basically, just take some time and do some serious self loving, because you deserve it!
Oh, and spread the word!
