World-Class Ethnic Fusion Performance set to rock Victoria & Salt Spring Island
This Friday and Saturday, Victoria and Salt Spring Island will play the backdrop to a stellar lineup of world-fusion artists, DJs and dancers.
Jef Stott, a sound engineer, Oud player and musical anthropologist from San Francisco, will be performing a live set with the talented middle-eastern drummer, Drumspyder. These artists are on tour to support Stott's full length release 'Saracen' on Six Degrees Records, arguably the most well known 'world electronic' label on the continent.
Stott & Drumspyder will play a mixture of Deep Moroccan, Turkish and Arabic rhythms & melodies layered over modern dance music such as Dub Step, Breaks, Electro and House.
With stellar music, great visuals plus belly dance performances, these events are going to move the body and the spirit! Don't miss out!
