Final Call - Volunteer Positions Available!
The final stretch of preparations for Parade of the Lost Souls is now upon us!! Parade of the Lost Souls, coming this Saturday, October 25th, is community celebration, to honour our losses and celebrate life. This union of many minds and hearts will create one of the most exciting events of the year – a transformational journey from darkness into light. Spectators become participants, expressing the whimsical dark, facing fears, and making magic happen.
Without you we can’t make it happen.
We need the help of hundreds like you to volunteer!
With less than two weeks until event day, we still need lots of help. Get involved in helping to create this incredibly unique and magical event! Volunteers are needed both pre-event and event day, and available positions are listed below. Contact Monika (below) to sign up for shifts, or attend the Volunteer Orientation on Wednesday, October 22 from 6-9pm at Britannia Community Centre Cafeteria to be signed up and trained on spot. Let us know how you would enjoy helping most!
PRODUCTION: Letter & Sign Distributors, Event Load-in, Site Set-Up, Mobile Lighting Units (torch bearers), Mobile Traffic Control (on bikes), Security, Production Assistants, Event Strike, Barricaders
SITE DÉCORATION: Prop Build and Repair, Site Décor Set Up, Site Décor Strike
HOSPITALITY: Food Pick-up & Load-in, Hospitality Crew (food prep & cleanup), Hospitality Clean-up
PERFORMANCE: Puppet Operators, Donation Buskers (in character), Bird Puppeteers, Performer Extra
INFO BOOTH: Info Booth Attendants
