Have you heard of GMO (genetically modified organisms)? Have you heard of Roundup (herbicide)? Have you ever heard of the giant corporation Monsanto (aspartame) that created it? If Roundup is so effective in killing plants, how come farmers can use it on their crops and it only kills the weeds? That’s because those farmers must use genetically modified seeds for their crops that are Roundup Ready and can then resist the herbicide. Unlabeled, patented, genetically engineered foods have quietly filled grocery store shelves for the past decade. There is great concern over the long-term safety of consuming GM foods.
