Reviewing a Quick Intro to Erotic Knifeplay
"The Toybag Guide to Erotic Knifeplay" (book) by Miranda Austin & Sam Atwood
Austin & Atwood are all about the bare essentials. They tell you about knives (and alternative sharp things), what the parts are, how they work, how to use them in ways that add sensation and sensationalism to play without ever splitting skin, how to care for them, and how to address problems if they do occur. This is not a book for anyone interested in cutting something other than accessories like clothes or rope, and they don't offer recommendations for reading in that sector of kink, which I think would've been appropriate and appreciated. But, if what you want to know is how to safely integrate knives into play in ways that won't tend to shed blood, then this is absolutely a handy guide for that. In particular, check out the sections on sensation play, cutting off clothing, and buying the right knives for play.
Available from the publisher, Greenery Press (www.greenerypress.com/), and from many other places.
