Vancouver, BC – After an uncertain future following the 2007 event, Bonfire Music & Events Inc. are pleased to announce the artist line-up for the 4th Annual Bonfire Music Festival running Friday August 22 to Sunday August 24, 2008 at Lions Parkin Garden Bay, BC. Gates open at 11:00 am on August 22. Located just two hours from Downtown Vancouver, the three-day music & camping festival features performances by an amazing assembly of bands representing the genres of rock, roots, electronica, jambands, reggae, funk, folk, bluegrass and much, much more!

2008’s artist lineup boasts an impressive & diverse mix of musical styles focusing on some of the Pacific Northwest’s best live acts… including Themasses (Vancouver), Freeflow (Vancouver), Flowmotion (Seattle), Canadian Beauty (Victoria), Velvet (Victoria), Relentless Couchmen (Courtenay), Baked Potato (Vancouver), Rabnett 5 (Vancouver), Blackberry Wood (Vancouver), The Tuques (Rossland), Don Alder (Vancouver), Ty West (Nelson), Mark Petersen (Vancouver), Guy Wilkins (Australia) & Cool Stick (Vancouver).

The Bonfire Music Festival has quickly become Western Canada’s most intimate & original festival experience and one of BC’s premiere three-day camping and music events in only 3 short years. Live music supporters from BC, Washington, Oregon, Alberta & even as far away as California, Arizona, Idaho & Saskatchewan are catching on to the buzz of the Bonfire Music Festival this year as it combines a top-caliber, eclectic musical line-up with a variety of outdoor activities, children’s programming and artistic expressions.

Nestled among the forests & fresh water lakes of GardenBay on BC’s beautiful SunshineCoast, the Bonfire Music Festival is a great place to take in swimming, hiking and biking amidst the scenic beauty while also enjoying a full palette of fantastic live music. The festival offers the opportunity to just relax and camp with good friends & great music in a beautiful site with a very relaxed feel. All of this combines to make the Bonfire Music Festival an anticipated yearly event and an experience for people of all ages.

Tickets and Information

Tickets are on sale now at bonfirefestival.com, as well as numerous street outlets that are available through our website. Three-day passes are very affordable at $75.00 (+ s/c) advance or $90.00 at the gates, which includes camping & parking for the duration of the event! Single day passes are $25/$30 (Friday), $35/$40 (Saturday) & $25/$30 (Sunday). Overnight camping will be made available to day ticket purchasers for $5.00 per camper each night, subject to campground availability. Youths between the ages of 11 & 15 yrs will be charged 50% of the accompanying adult’s ticket; and kids under 10 years old are FREE!
